Widths from 1-5/8" through 6" and lengths through 16' are stocked. 8" and wider, 25 ga, 14 ga and heavier, and longer lengths are special order.
Same story as seismic grid: a spec written for a coastal or industrial environment will sometimes call for G-90 galvanizing on interior studs that will never see moisture. We can get it. Ask first, because the architect will often approve the standard coating for an interior partition once the question is put to them, and G-90 costs money and lead time you may not need to spend.
Every stud we sell is stamped with its thickness in mils and its minimum yield strength. A 20-gauge drywall stud and a 20-gauge structural stud are not the same product and will not pass the same inspection. If you are bidding structural, send us the drawings.

Both. Drywall stud is on the rack at every branch. Structural is stocked in the common sizes and ordered in for the rest.
We stock the common gauges and widths at all six. If your yard is short, another one usually has it the same day. Genuinely odd sizes are a special order.
It lets the structure above move without loading the wall. Most commercial jobs in Colorado call for it at the head of every non-load-bearing partition.
